St Bartholomew's, Ubley
The Street, Ubley. BS40 6PJ
Ubley can best be described as a small rural village with a big heart. Situated off the main A368 road, it is both chocolate - box perfect to look at, but also has a vibrant and changing population.
People in Ubley are hugely community minded; be it through their support and involvement in the church, the school or the village hall, (or all three!). In more recent years there has been a very welcome influx of younger families with children and consequently the school is thriving resulting in the building of two additional classrooms. There is a happy dynamic between our younger and older community members, who work together to ensure that Ubley is a safe, happy and enjoyable place to live.
Ubley has the largest village hall with the consequence that there are many community events which utilise that facility ranging from Ubley Publey once a month to safari suppers to school PE and other sports. In addition, it is used across the wider community of Chew Valley by a number of organisations such as U3A.
St Bartholomew's provides a range of services; Taize, Family All Age services, meditative prayer, café church and communion reflecting the mix of people of all types and ages who use the church.
